OSTEOPATHY

Osteopathy is a primary health care practice involving the diagnosis and treatment of pain and injury arising from the muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments of the body.

Osteopaths take a whole body approach to treatment and believe that the health and success of the body relies on the optimum functioning of all its various parts.

By taking a detailed case history, combined with a thorough postural and movement assessment, your osteopath will be able to provide a diagnosis and treatment plan for your pain. Treatment techniques involve soft tissue massage, joint articulation and manipulation, stretching and, if required,

medical acupuncture.

At the Clinic on the Hill, we also specialise in movement guidance and training to enable you to get the most out of your body. You will often perform movements within the session and you will also have exercises to work on at home in order to carry on the benefits of treatment.
